"The Mindfulness Center (TMC) is truly a special place. After trying several yoga studios in the Washington, DC area and not finding the right fit, I made TMC my home for practicing mindfulness. What sets TMC apart from yoga studios in the area is TMC’s holistic approach to mindfulness and ensuring every student in class feels comfortable and confident in practicing, whether they are a novice or a seasoned yogi. My wonderful teachers at TMC have instilled in me the love and appreciation for yoga by guiding me to listen to my body and go at my own pace, and slowly push the edge of my “limits” through patient practice. I don't feel the need to compete with others in class, but focus on developing self-awareness and strength in my mind and body. This has kept me going back and building a consistent practice. The wide range of classes offered at TMC including different styles of yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and others has also exposed me to a number of mindfulness tools and techniques to manage stress. It’s the best investment I have made in my health and well-being."
